a wonderful way to update your makeup look instantly is a bold lip color.

now i know everyone loves their glossy nudes and barely there pinks, but why not go bold?  try a red, maroon or even a dark purple (all depending on your skin tone).

bandage or bondage?

so i'm not the biggest fan of herve leger, but once in a while i find a few pieces of his that i love.

WARNING: carbs are to be avoided when wearing these skin-tight ensembles.

1. BATHING SUIT
so i found this suit and i loved it! he had lots of fun suits, but this one was the most practical and would look great under the miami sun!

2. BLAZER
i love this super structured blazer and i think it's the perfect addition to this herve leger dress. i think most of leger's dresses look better with something paired over them and this blazer doesn't overwhelm the dress; rather, it makes it look even more put together and fabulous!


3. ONE SHOULDER
so we all know i'm an assymetrical slave and so naturally, i loved this! i liked how the stripes are a bit more diagonal (as opposed to the not so forgiving horizontal stripe) and i loved the color grade.

golden globes 2009.

so the standout winner of the golden globes (besides slumdog millionaire - yay!) is the ONE SHOULDER DRESS.

yes, many rocked it, and here are a two mentionables:

unfortunately there were also some serious disasters.  theses thigh high slits and barley there numbers just didn't quite cut it for me:

this all makes me want to go strap on some stilletos and a fabulous gown.  anyone with me?

per request: men's fashion tidbits.

today i brought my men's fashion expert, vivek (aka my bro bro), to help give you gents a few tips and tricks to looking a little more fabulous during this frigid season.

there are some really fun trends going on for men right now and here are a few that we love:

1. SKINNY TIES

skinny ties are a new fabulous trend for men.  in the new age of "gq-ness" they make you look slim, fit and fierce.  try one, who knows?  you just might like it!

2. ACCESSORIES

from tie bars to pocket squares to cufflinks, learn to have some fun with accessories!  simple accessories can immediately change the whole vibe of your outfit for the better [just make sure not to over do it!]. and remember this men: "last thing on, first thing noticed!"

3. COLORS AND PRINTS

i find that many men have trouble playing with different color/print combos. many are so used to traditional color/print combinations that they don't even think about playing with bold colors/prints!  here are some very bold examples form the etro's spring 2009 line.  now you don't have to go to these extremes, but its just a start to thinking out side of that fashion box.

latin love affair.

so today i was given a very interesting career opportunity based in south america and i'm going back to miami in a few days.

so in celebration of the two, i give you some of my favorite steamy latin-inspired trends.

1. FLIRTY LONG DRESSES

these are great for warm weather and can instantly make you look super fun and fashionable.

just slip one on and head to the boardwalk!

this hat is so huge and fun.  its perfect if you're trying to protect that gorgeous skin of yours from burning. ouch!

3. THE PERFECT RED DRESS

when i think of a color to match the latin culture, i think red! i mean whats sexier than a great red dress? heres a picture of eva mendez looking uber-gorgeous in this sizzling red number [i also love the golden accessories].

wherever these months may find you, try and spice up your wardrobe with some latin flavors!
