sunday brunch is one of my favorite weekend activities.  it's such a great excuse to wear a sundress and catch up with some of my favorite people!

even though i have a lot of separates on my blog, i am all about sundresses.  when i lived in miami i quickly realized it was one of the quickest (and most fabulous!) ways to stay cool!

i find myself going through accessory phases - earrings, necklaces, belts, bracelets, scarves - i've pretty much been through it all.  right now i'm all about two-finger rings because they're a little different than my gigantic cocktail rings and double the fun!

rock n' right

i've developed an obsession with this whole "rocker-chic" craze. i love seeing glamazons stomp around in leather jackets, vintage concert tees, studded clutches and killer high heels! i'm infatuated with my leather jackets and whip them out during the summer months for (very!) short periods of time.

there's something timeless about nautical themed clothing: sailor pants, anchor scarves, captain's hats - you name it, i love it!

i decided to wear my sailor inspired shorts yesterday and although this look isn't exactly ocean friendly, i like to think i could wear silver wedges while sailing into the sunset!

couture cowboy

i've recently have had many changes in my life and am currently back in nashville! the style here is very different from new york and miami and i'm enjoying revisiting and revamping some classic southern looks!

when you think nashville you think cowboy boots and over the top denim, right? well there's definitely a way to update those looks and make them more couture friendly! who can forget balenciaga's fall 2006 cowboy inspired booties? and denim button ups are all the rage this season popping up everywhere from the D&G runway to the gap!

ruffle me this!

sometimes i find myself forgetting separates during the summertime. i tend to lean towards flowly dresses and rompers simply because they're cute and easy - oh and did i mention they keep me cool in 100 degree weather?

yesterday i dove into my skirt collection and pulled out this fun ruffled skirt which i paired with a mustard yellow tee. i'm starting to consider mustard yellow a neutral because it literally goes with everything!!

these lucky brand shoes have become one of my summer staples because they go with almost everything and the thick heel allows me to prance around town pretending i'm six feet tall :)

a short story

hello readers! after my long hiatus from blogging, im back! i have missed each and everyone of you and look forward to catching up on all of my favorite blogs and finding some new favorites as well!

so i've definitely had a slight change in appearance - i recently cut off all my hair and feel so free and fabulous! here's a fun indian-inspired outfit i wore recently:

vintage indian skirt, bebe gold earrings

i'm a huge advocate of wearing clothes unconventionally and in the photos above i'm wearing a classic indian skirt as a dress! it has a tie on the top so instead of wrapping it around my waist, i chose to tie it (tightly!) around the top of my chest.
