back in bangles.

top: bar III, jeans: blank, earrings: vintage, rings: house of harlow, bracelets: h&m and bullets and mullets, shoes: jessica simpson, satchel: coach

daring backs are so fabulous. i love pieces like this top that look so simple in the front and than have dramatic backs!

i'm also really excited about my bangles because i feel like you have to develop your own personal stack of bangles, each one with a story. i've fallen love with my handcuff bracelet, which i wear with an actual handcuff, and a silver bracelet that i bought in boston years ago. hopefully one day i'll have a stack of bangles beautifully crafted to my life & travels!

Longuette said...: I used to have a bracelet my Father gave me. Every pendant of it was a miniature of something related to travel (a suitcase, a camera, a plane, etc) It was vintage, from the US. Unfortunately I have lost it. I have the bad habit to wear jewellery and then put it in the bag if they hurt or I feel uncomfortable after a while. Sometimes then they disappear...
So sad......

Of course I buy and love other items too...but the really special, tell you a story, type pieces are the BEST!

Ashley said...: My parents got in the habit of gifting me jewelry for memorable birthdays. Tiny diamond studs on my 16th, a strand of pearls on my 21st, etc. I think of those birthdays every time I wear them.

I'm even wearing the pearls next year at my wedding- they work with the dress perfectly, and will be a special way to tie the past. :)
