sweater: henry cottons, skirt: indian, shoes: bakers, scarf: pashmina, earrings: handmade, rings: f21,
nail polish: black cherry chutney

i've always been interested in deconstructing and modernizing traditional indian clothes.  this skirt is a part of one of my indian outfits called a chaniya choli - i love the movement of it and the hand-stitched embroidery.  i paired it with a sweater i found in my dad's closet - it is literally the most comfortable piece of clothing i've ever worn!

in other news: i have become completely obsessed with peppermint tea, i can't stop listening to floetic by floetry, and i'm really excited top chef all stars started this week.

hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

stayfabulous,
zarna

Wow, the embroidery is so intricate! Love the close-up. Also, you've shown another reason why nude pumps go with everything!

Adorable outfit. I also modernize my Nigerian outfits once in a while. It helps that the African fabrics are really popular these days (eg. Boxing Kitten, Spring '11 LAMB, etc.)

I'm trying to decide whether to go long skirt or not... you post gives me sweet inspiration. I am more of a mini skirt gal, but the on-going maxi fad keeps luring me... sweetly intertwining like trends have a tendency to do! Now, sometimes I fall, others resist. I feel one heel slipping already... if ever you see me pôsting maxis, you'll know why;)
