festival of lights!

skirt: indian vintage, tee: express, jacket: silence & noise, necklace: local boutique, shoes: bebe

This week is one of the biggest indian holidays - DIWALI! it's a five day festival also referred to as "the festival of lights" and it celebrates the victory of good over evil.

i decided to get into the holiday spirit by pairing a traditional skirt with some modern pieces.  i love the movement of this skirt and how comfortable it is - not to mention the beautiful print! i found it in the midst of my indian clothes and immediately fell in love!

happy diwali everyone!

stayfabulous,
zarna

ps - still updating my blog roll so let me know if you'd like to exchange links :)

it truly is a beautiful print.

i googled diwali and i found an article that said president obama honored the holiday "The President issued a statement on Nov. 4 and lit a lamp to mark the week long holiday of Diwali, which he said represents the triumph of good over evil."...pretty cool!

and, you are already on my blogroll :) feel free to add me if you'd like.
