so today i've got a great little treat for everyone.  my brother and his best friend have been "fab-ing" their friends and were excited to debut themselves on my blog.

here's one of their friends that they took from drab to fab!  i'll try to get in on the next photo shoot so we can upgrade the photo creativity :) hopefully they will be starting up their own blog soon, ill keep all of you updated!

outfit #1: formal wear

here's whats wrong:

1) the suit jacket does not fit him well.

2) NEVER button the bottom button.

3) the tie is tied in a full windsor knot.  with his point collar, he should tie a four-in-hand.

4) the tie is so large and takes up too much of his chest.

here's what's right:

1) the suit is a very nice grey color and fits him very well.  the shoulders are a much better fit, the arms are slimmer, and it tapers at his waist when he buttons it.

2) the pants are slim and flat front.  they also create a nice break on the shoes.

3) the shoes are pointed and polished.  you can never go wrong with black and grey.

4) the pink shirt goes perfect with the grey.

5) the tie is black, knitted, and slim - perfect for spring and summer!

6) the tie bar and pocket square pull the whole outfit together.  accessories are essential.  the devil is in the details.

outfit #2: dinner/drinks wear

here's whats wrong:

1) the jeans are too light for evening wear and they fit terribly.  this creates an illusion that he has more weight than he actually does.

2) the shirt color is too bold with his skin tone and shirt is too big.  it hangs off his shoulders and does not accentuate his shoulders and arms.

3) the sandals are too clunky and large.

here's what's right:

1) the jeans are nicely fitted and are darker for evening wear (a pair of dark denim can take you a long way!)

2) the graphic tee is white, creating a nice color contrast with the jeans and blazer.

3) the blazer is cotton and fits him very well.  the pocket square adds some flair and the rolled up sleeves means he is going for play, not work.

4) the sandals are smaller and casual.  you can also wear some nice black loafers or white sneakers to complete this look.
